Sukke Dhirmath has just made herself a new dumbale bow, for the first time in many years.  It always was a popular instrument with girls and women. A single string is drawn across twice, and they play almost in percussion style, altering the pitch of the upper string with their chins. (Compare with a similar clip in 60s archival).
